Greetings to all our loyal Pea Ridge Forest Customers,

Christmas season is just around the corner and we decided this year to communicate with our friends through our website, facebook, and instagram! We are trying to move into the progressive world of social media. Of course, Grandma Mary does this kicking and screaming, but knowing we must keep moving forward or we’ll fall behind.

It was a very strange weather year, but very good for growing trees. They are happier than they have been for a couple years. Of course, as some of you know from our previous note, we will again bring in the majority of our Christmas trees to supplement our own. They will be displayed in the field with our own trees These trees are top quality, and we’re excited to be able to offer them to our customers in these tight times for evergreen growers! Hopefully next year we will be back to a more normal selling season as we will have several fields ready to open - barring any unforeseen problems. If we use these fields this year, we will put ourselves right back into the position we have been in for the last few years.

Hopefully our customers will understand and enjoy the experience of coming to Pea Ridge Forest and the quality trees we work so hard to offer.

All the Christmas traditions we offer will still be the same. On weekends, we offer rides to the field, Santa, and vendors. Some of our vendors include a winery sampling, Swiss Meats sausage shop, Sugar Mommas with pies and sweets, and kettle korn. We also have a tractor pulled sled, corn pit, etc. for the little ones. Our gift shop is overflowing with gift ideas for the Christmas season and your own decorating needs. Fresh greenery, wreaths, and custom decorations along with fresh hanging baskets, containers, and arrangements will be available. Warm up with hot chocolate in our gift shop while enjoying the fireplace and browsing through all the fun and beautiful Christmas items for sale.

The family is hanging in there, and the grandchildren are thriving. Jenna and Jill are both graduating this spring - one from high school and the other from grade school. They are both looking forward to their next steps in life. Jessica is enjoying her second year in college. It seems to be challenging, but she likes that.

We hope you accept our invitation to come make memories here at our farm this Christmas season. We look forward to sharing this quaint little valley we call our own, so you can make memories and start traditions with your family this holiday season.

Yours in trees,

The Roods
